Fwd: Stop UNHRC’s Anti-Israel COI

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is urging the defunding and closure of the UN Human Rights Council’s Commission of Inquiry (COI) on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel.

This comes after an anti-Semitic trope by Miloon Kothari – one of three members of the COI – charged that “Jews control social media,” that “Apartheid is not enough to explain the root causes…,” and questioned Israel’s right to be a UN member state. The other member, Chris Sidoti, charged, ”It seems that accusations of anti-Semitism are thrown around like rice at a wedding… .” They and COI Chair Navanethem Pillay accuse Israel of being an Apartheid State.

Therefore, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is urging:

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is an NGO at the United Nations, UNESCO, and other world bodies and will continue to monitor and act against anti-Semitism, on behalf of the rights of the Jewish people and human dignity everywhere.
